Silent tear on lonely faces

Crippling fear in happy places

No one sees and no one feels

Playing the hand that pain deals

one that sticks with me still. i painted this wayyyy back when i had a studio in Ashland. i wrote the poetry first, then i painted this oil painting to express it. the painting belongs to my cousin Christie now. we exchanged for some of her amazing photography that i am a proud owner of. as i'm looking at this painting again, right now, i'm compelled to get started on another one. more free flowing such as this one. bold and broad strokes and stark lines and contrast. oil paint is truly my favorite, but damn, it's so expensive. especially when you use a ton of it! i really love this painting.
