i created this drawing back in january of 2022 while our precious little beagle dog "Bubba" was dying. my son Cole found him wondering around at Grayson Lakes Bruin boat ramp one day when we had taken our other two dogs (who have also passed away now) out there to play in the water. Bubba was a true beagle. liked to wander, and the day we found him, i'm sure it was because he had gotten off on a deer scent and gotten lost. anyway, he fit right in and surely didn't take any bullying from our bulldog Biggs. this drawing is about my love for not only him, but all our dogs and cats that we've given a home over the years. they've all enriched my life in some way and i can only hope that i did theirs. this drawing is a picture of a dog, buried in the earth with a pure heart on the inside. his spirit is being carried up to the heavens. angel wings are over him and above the wings is his spirit being received in love and joy by God. another interesting aspect to this drawing is that I included my little rune system that i created for artworks and their titles. the symbol for God is there along with "Angel Pup" to the right of the drawing. this is one of my favorite drawings and probably the most meaningful one i've ever done.
